What are Sesame Strips and how do they work?
Sesame are adhesive, removable strips that you can place on personal items, doors, or storage areas. If someone tries to open or tamper with your belongings, every
unique strip will show visible signs letting you know that your belongings were accessed.
Why don’t I just use a lock?
Locks are great, but not for every situation. Studies have suggested that a simple sign is often more than enough deterrence to persuade people not to enter.
Plus if you have given out a spare key or forgot to lock it, there is a chance someone has gained access without you knowing.
Will they leave a mark when removed?
They are adhesive, but fully removable on almost every surface without leaving any residue. That been said, please test on a small area if you are concerned it may be a sensitive material.
Are the strips reusable?
They are one time use, and for good reason. They indicate when they have been peeled the very first time.
This won't stop a thief?
If someone wants to get in, not even a padlock will stop them. Sesame strips are for the snoopers, the I didn’t listen the first timers. For the candy snatchers, the diary peepers or the favourite t-shirt grabbers.
What if someone else has their own and swaps the strips?
Every strip has its own unique code. Just take a photo when you apply it, and you will know for certain you were the last pair of hands there.
